Under Construction
Xerxes - Xerxes is one of the more powerful mages in the Mage
Guild. Not necessarily the oldest, but has strong natural ability.
He can be very self-centered, but is a good speaker and is charismatic.
This often leads to him acting as a spokesperson, and he can be very
persuasive amongst his peers. He has a knack for making completely
self-serving goals appear to be in the best interest for everyone
involved.
Zephram - A knowledgable old mage, but perhaps not the most
morally balanced. He tends to get caught up in his work, and will
often overlook ethical concerns in the process. Sometimes the other
mages need to watch him closely to make sure nobody's toes get
stepped on, so to speak.
Erstam - A wise old mage, Erstam has a good grasp of the
"bigger picture" and usually has a good idea as to the right course
of action in all things. He is, however, somewhat senile and
absent-minded. The others often have a hard time figuring out if
he's serious/correct in his thinking, or whether he's just rambling.
Though his memory might be failing, his spellcasting ability is as
strong as ever.
Rowan - Apprentice to Erstam, as well as his friend. He's often
impatient and impetuous, but he's a promising student and is learning
rapidly.
Nystrum - A master of flame magic, as well as offensive
combat spells. On the rare occasion that the guild requires
such things, Nystrum is the one to do it, and he is always quite
happy to oblige. He enjoys what he does, and when he has frustration
to vent, he can sometimes be seen in the mountains setting off
explosions and hurling fireballs. He's got a bit of a temper,
but it can take a lot for him to actually lose control.
Rastibahn - A very quiet mage.. This guy doesn't speak up
unless he particularly feels the need. He's quiet and shy, and
yet when he speaks it's as if the earth is shaking because of
his deep and intimidating voice and tone. He hates interruptions,
and usually just confines himself to his research. He'll make an
appearance at all important meetings, though usually doesn't
volunteer an opinion.
Legrigard - A master of earth-magic (in elemental terms, both
earth and water). He carries a large flanged mace instead of a
staff or wand, and is always threatening to clobber people with
it if he doesn't get his way. To date he has never actually done
so, and therefore his threats aren't usually taken seriously by
the other mages. He pretends to be tougher and meaner than he
actually is. Underneath that false tough exterior, he's actually
quite a softie.
Astrellam - An ancient and very senile mage, this guy can't
gte a spell to work right, and can't finish a sentence without
rambling off on a random tangent or just trailing off. Most of
his spells either fizzle, or more frequently than not, come out
in reverse in some way. For instance, a spell he casts on
someone else might affect himself instead, or a heal spell might
do harm instead, or a freeze spell might start a fire. Having him
around is almost a tradition since he's been in the mage guild for
so long, and no one has the heart to suggest he retire.
